ブランド名は、フランス語の“nos(わたしたち)”と“vies(生活)”を反転させて組み合わせたもの。日々の生活のなかで得た着想を洋服に落とし込んでゆく。解体・再構築的でありながらもエレガントなデザインが特徴。

ブランドの重要なモチーフのひとつが「ネジ」である。ネジはそれ自体は小さな存在ではあるが、さまざまなものを接続する役割を果たす。そのように、普段は気に留めない小さなことをひとつひとつ繋げていくことを象徴している。
